Giselle Benavides is a Venezuelan Multimedia artist based in London. Her subject matter relates to the concepts of beauty, the objectification of the female body, sexuality,body dissatisfaction and identity.
Giselle Benavides originally worked as an actress for the National Theatre Company in Caracas, Venezuela. She has a BA in Media Studies and is currently doing the last year of a BA in Fine Arts in Central St. Martins, College of Art and design.
In London she trained at The Desmond Jones Mime and Physical Theatre School and this gave her further desire to use her body as her main tool of expression.
